FROM THE ROOT is a brand which incorporates events, workshops, talks, retreats - all things holistic, healing, educational and joyful.

The ethos of FROM THE ROOT is to celebrate what nature gives us and to give back in equal amounts. From celebrating our own magnificent biology on a women’s health workshop or antenatal masterclass, to celebrating the changing seasons on a solstice wild wellness retreat day.

Each event is thoughtfully created to provide you with invaluable knowledge, inspiration and connection to yourself and like-minded others. Events are run by me (Florence) or in collaboration with other specialists and practitioners, you’ll always be in good hands.

Gut Health Unravelled: Unlocking the secrets to wellness workshop

  • Join us for a 3-hour workshop, thoughtfully crafted to nourish your body and mind, and to provide you with the tools to keep you healthy as we move toward the colder months.

    What to expect:
    We will start the morning with an energising yoga session, igniting warmth and energy to support gut health.
    Following the yoga practice, we will delve into the heart of supporting a healthy gut with a Naturopathic Nutrition talk. Take away some top tips and practical knowledge to see you moving towards longlasting wellness. As well as a deep dive in to all things naturopathic nutrition, there will be ample opportunity throughout the gathering for discussion and questions.

    The entire workshop will foster a space for connection and inclusivity, it is open to all who would like to take some time for wellness and to learn a little about natural approaches to achieving good health.
    Leave the workshop feeling rejuvenated, empowered, and armed with the knowledge and tools to nurture your well-being through the changing seasons.

    All yoga equipment will be provided at the studio. But you are welcome to bring any of your own yoga kit that you’d like to use. Homemade vegan and gluten free gut-loving snacks and tea will also be provided.

    I offer concessions for anyone with low / no income and a free community / volunteer space in every workshop, as I believe that money should not be a barrier to anyone accessing the benefits of yoga/nutrition.

    Join Flo for a 2.5-hour winter wellness workshop, thoughtfully crafted to nourish your body and mind, and to provide you with the tools to keep you healthy during these colder months.

    What to expect:
    We will start the morning with an energising yoga session, igniting warmth and energy to support gut health.
    Following the yoga practice, we will delve into the heart of winter well-being with a Naturopathic Nutrition talk. Flo will guide you through the art of nourishing your body during the winter season, exploring how wholesome, seasonal nutrition can enhance your resilience, boost immunity, and promote overall vitality. Take away some top tips and practical knowledge to see you moving towards longlasting wellness through 2024 and beyond. As well as a deep dive in to all things naturopathic nutrition, we’ll make sure there is ample opportunity throughout the gathering for discussion and questions. The final part of the workshop will move into easeful Yin yoga, weaving in concepts of Ayurveda and Traditional Chinese Medicine that are at the heart of Yin yoga philosophy. Embrace the stillness as we cultivate a sense of balance and restoration, perfectly complementing the winter theme of introspection and self-care.
